The parent take

Real lion sanctuary minutes from Anthem — 30+ lions plus Ozzie the painting giraffe. It's outdoors with modest shade, so in July go right at 10am and plan about an hour.

Nonprofit accredited sanctuary housing lions (many descended from the MGM lions) plus a giraffe and birds. Keepers talk while you walk the compact grounds; optional add-ons include feeding the lions or getting giraffe 'artwork.'
