Verified Jul 2The parent take
A real working rescue ranch where toddlers and grade-schoolers can hand-feed goats, ponies, and pigs for whatever you drop in the donation box. Plan about an hour, bring produce from home (carrots, apples, lettuce), and go early morning in July — it is entirely outdoors with limited shade.
McKee Ranch Foundation is a nonprofit animal rescue and 2.5-acre working farm run by the McKee family since 1997, near Mountains Edge in southwest Las Vegas. Kids can feed and pet rescued goats, horses, ponies, pigs, chickens, bunnies, and turkeys, and pony rides are offered on weekends. There is no ticket booth or gift shop — admission is by donation. The vibe is intentionally low-key and non-commercial, with picnic seating and rustic photo-op props.
Good for
Toddlers and elementary kids who love animals; low-cost outings; birthday photo ops
